American Hat Company Partners with Sutton Rodeo

Bowie, Texas: American Hat Company is proud to announce their partnership with Sutton Rodeo. President of American Hat Company, Keith Mundee, says, “Sutton Rodeo is a stock contractor, rodeo producer, handles event committees, they compete, and do just about everything you can think of. You could say they wear many hats, and we are sure proud that they wear our hat.”

Amy Muller says, “We are very excited for this new partnership with American Hat Co.!  To have the support from such a well-respected brand whose company traditions and values align so well with ours here at Sutton Rodeo make us very honored to be associated with American Hat Company! We look forward to building a long-standing relationship with this great company, working to promote both the rodeo industry as well as the western way of life as a whole!”

American hats are made in Bowie, Texas, and use many of the same processes from over 100 years ago, from each felt hat being hand finished, to the brim on every straw hat being cut and sewn by hand. By hand-making our hats, we can ensure the quality of each hat that we box and send to our customers.

In both the rodeo and ranching world, Sutton Rodeo takes a lot of pride in the fact that they are a 6th generation family business. It’s taken a lot of hard work, determination, and grit to not only endure the test of time but to thrive in this tough business.  They say they are so fortunate to have had great examples and a strong foundation laid from grandfather Hall of Famers, James Sutton Sr. and Jim Sutton.  They continue to work with great purpose to try to continue to advance the company with both innovation and technology, while still maintaining that level of professionalism and integrity that is the cornerstone of the family’s operation.
