She Wears Many Hats

Women of today wear many hats…both figuratively and literally.

“Women in the western industry amaze me. They really do. Many of them can go from working on ranches, covered in mud and gathering cattle, to commanding the attention of a packed hotel ballroom in Las Vegas during the NFR. They have businesses and attend markets or hustle to meet deadlines each and every day. But, they are still REAL people and have lives behind all the mud, glitz, and business decisions. They are wives, mothers, true friends, and super heroes on the daily.

Western

“These girls are every bit as capable as anyone else that’s grown up on a ranch or has a love for that lifestyle. They can gather cattle, take care of livestock, and hang with the best of them. The cowboy hat is the most sacred and widely renowned symbol of western tradition in the world, and these women wear it well…with their own little twist of course.

NFR Fashion

“My oh my how western fashion has changed! Western fashion has evolved so much since the days of Dale Evans. Publications like Fashion Posse and Western Runway Magazine, just to name a few, showcase and encourage women to dress however they feel confident no matter how off the wall it may be. You can always be sure though there will still be some hint of western tradition in there: whether it be the best cowboy hat on the market, a vintage pair of boots, or a belt buckle that means the world to her.

Business

“These ladies are forces to be reckoned with. They, along with many other women, have helped to shape and mold this industry. They have ran successful businesses, published eye-catching and top notch publications, and are role models for those that hope to follow in their footsteps. The list of accomplishments these ladies and those like them have under their belts is unmatched and very well may be forever.

Casual

“Women that do life in the western industry are just like you and me. They are wives, mothers, rodeo athletes, social workers, teachers, business owners, and just about any other title you can think of. They’re everyday people, usually with a bit of a western twist and vintage flare.

“Hats are something that cover all facets of life. From traditionally western, to high-end fashion, the business world, and everyday casual life, hats are there.“ –Katie Lynn, Public Relations Manager for American Hat Company
